The Art Deco style is prominent throughout the building: in the hand painted lobby mural by Chicago immigrant Otto Stauffenberg; the sleek marble terrazzo and black walnut finishes; in the streamlined exterior of black granite, Indian limestone, cast lead and steel and stylized floral medallions. The impressive curved entry lends to the soaring perception of the building, departing from classical monolithic architecture. The building has consistently housed a variety of professional offices; law, medical, insurance and small business. Modern amenities in the original design include the 8th-10th floors being equipped with air, gas and specialized electrical service for medical professions.
